We are seeking a Right Hand Litigation Attorney to work directly with firm leadership as a second-in-command litigation operator responsible for driving case execution, settlement strategy, discovery oversight, and trial preparation.
This role is designed for a strong, highly organized, execution-focused attorney, and comfortable operating in a structured, leadership-directed environment where clarity, accountability, and follow-through are prioritized.
The ideal candidate does not need to “run the firm” or reinvent systems—they need to execute at a high level, manage litigation momentum, and ensure that direction from leadership is implemented accurately and on time across all cases.
Role Overview:
This attorney serves as the firm's primary litigation execution lead under managing partner direction, responsible for ensuring every case is actively moving toward either:
- Strong, strategic settlement resolution, or
- Full trial readiness and preparation

This role is central to ensuring that happens across the entire firm
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
- Drive assigned cases from discovery through resolution or trial
- Ensure all cases are actively progressing with no stagnation or missed deadlines
- Identify bottlenecks and immediately correct course with staff and systems
- Maintain consistent litigation momentum across a high-volume caseload
- Review, revise, and approve all discovery responses prior to service
- Oversee written discovery, meet-and-confer correspondence, and discovery strategy
- Ensure all legal work product is accurate, strategic, and aligned with firm standards
- Supervise legal writers, assistants, and staff to maintain consistent quality
- Actively evaluate and push cases toward optimal settlement timing and value
- Drive negotiation strategy with opposing counsel
- Identify leverage points through discovery, motions, and depositions
- Collaborate with leadership on settlement valuation and resolution strategy
- Know when to continue litigation and when to resolve aggressively
- Draft and review motions, oppositions, discovery motions, and litigation filings
- Handle or supervise meet-and-confer efforts and discovery disputes
- Ensure all filings are timely, persuasive, and strategically aligned
- Prepare deposition outlines and strategy for clients, witnesses, and experts
- Conduct or supervise deposition preparation sessions
- Evaluate deposition transcripts and incorporate findings into case strategy
- Use depositions to strengthen both settlement leverage and trial posture
- Identify cases requiring trial and fully prepare them for trial presentation
- Develop trial themes, case theory, and narrative strategy
- Organize exhibits, witnesses, and trial materials
- Ensure cases are fully trial-ready when resolution is not achieved earlier
- Attend hearings, conferences, and procedural court appearances
- Handle routine litigation appearances and advocate on behalf of clients
- Support leadership in contested hearings and motion practice as needed
- Supervise legal assistants, writers, and litigation support staff
- Review all staff-generated legal work before finalization
- Provide direction, feedback, and correction to ensure high-quality output
- Ensure delegation is executed properly and deadlines are met consistently
- Work closely with a strong internal team designed to support your litigation function
