We litigate in federal courts and arbitration forums in New York, New Jersey, and around the country, and we maintain strong co-counsel relationships with other leading consumer protection firms nationally.

We're looking for an experienced litigation attorney to join our team. This is a role for a litigator, i.e. someone who regularly takes and defends depositions, writes and argues motions, manages discovery, and tries cases.

The Work

You'll handle a caseload of individual and class action consumer protection matters from inception through resolution. The work includes:
Drafting complaints, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents in federal court and arbitration.
Conducting and managing fact and expert discovery, including written discovery, document review, depositions, etc.
Arguing motions and appearing in court.
Developing legal strategy and case theories in collaboration with firm leadership and co-counsel.
Supervising paralegals assigned to your cases.
Mentoring law student and law graduate fellows as the opportunity arises.
Conducting legal research on consumer protection statutes, regulations, and developing case law.

What We Require:

7+ years of hands-on civil litigation experience.
Substantial federal court experience.
Outstanding persuasive legal writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to advocate effectively in court.
Admission to the bar of at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with eligibility for reciprocal or lateral admission in additional states as needed.
The ability to manage a caseload independently while working as part of a small, collaborative team.
Must be based in the United States.

Strongly preferred:

Experience in consumer protection litigation, including claims under the FCRA, EFTA, FCBA, or state UDAP statutes.
Class action litigation experience, including certification motions, class discovery, and settlement administration.
Arbitration experience.
Plaintiff-side litigation background (consumer protection, employment, personal injury, civil rights, or similar).
