Responsibilities of the position include:
- Manage personal injury cases from inception through resolution, ensuring timing and strategic handling of all aspects of the case
- Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the client's behalf when appropriate
- Conduct thorough case research, review medical records, and gather relevant information to build compelling cases
- Draft and modify legal documents that include demand letters and pleadings that include developing and responding to discovery, disclosures and motions
- Collaborate with legal staff to ensure cases are handled effectively and efficiently
- Maintain organized and updated documentation for each case in the firm's case management system
Qualifications:
Position requirements include:
- Attorneys with 3+ years of experience in Personal Injury case management are encouraged to apply
- Working knowledge of the Federal and State Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
- The candidate should have high level analytical and legal research and writing skills and a passion for advocating for injured parties due to the wrongful acts of another
- This position will work closely with clients, and collaborate with senior attorneys, other associates, and legal staff
- The ideal candidate should enjoy working with others and collaborating on personal injury matters to achieve the best outcome on behalf of Burg Simpson's clients
- A license to practice law is mandatory and a license to practice in Colorado is preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply, but is not a requirement of the position
