Description: Fox Rothschild LLP has an opening in multiple offices for a litigation associate. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of general commercial litigation experience. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Large law firm experience preferred.
- Clerkship experience and/or trial experience is a plus.
- Superior academic record, and excellent research and writing skills required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic litigation team
- Experience drafting pleadings and discovery and contributing to strategy.
- Experience in North Carolina State and federal courts.
- Experience drafting and arguing motions.
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
