Description:
Carney Badley Spellman, PS is seeking a talented litigation associate with 2–4 years of experience to join its active and sophisticated litigation practice. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team of experienced litigators representing businesses and individuals in federal and state courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Our practice spans a wide range of commercial and civil disputes, serving clients from emerging businesses to established companies across diverse industries.Responsibilities:
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation filings.
- Managing written discovery and document review; coordinating with litigation support as needed.
- Participating in depositions, hearings, and ADR proceedings.
- Communicating directly with clients and helping drive case strategy.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Washington bar admission and in good standing.
- 2–4 years of litigation experience.
- Strong writing and advocacy skills; able to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
- Client-service mindset, sound judgment, and ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred:
- Experience in real estate litigation and real property is helpful, but not necessary.
- Commercial litigation experience.
- Experience with electronic discovery and litigation support tools.
Compensation:
- Base compensation: $163,000–$173,000.
- Total compensation will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on experience, relevant expertise, business needs, and market conditions.
