Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to litigation, business law, construction law, employment law and real estate law. This role requires excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate on behalf of clients. The Litigation Associate will play a crucial role in managing cases from inception through resolution, ensuring that all legal procedures are followed efficiently.

Duties:

Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and attention to detail.
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations across various areas of law.
Taking and defending depositions and trial preparation tasks, including organizing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and developing case strategies.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters while managing a caseload independently.
Maintain accurate records and documentation within the law office to ensure compliance with legal standards.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in California.
3+ years of experience.
Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw is essential.
Trial experience is a plus.
Excellent writing skills with a demonstrated ability in legal drafting.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
