Job Description:Junior Litigation Associate (NY & NJ Barred)
A boutique litigation law firm in Rockland County, New York is currently seeking a Junior Associate to join their office.
The firm was established in 2002. With its concentration on litigation practice, the firm represents clients in the areas of commercial, other civil litigation, real estate transactions and landlord/tenant disputes. The firm also assists clients with business transactions, corporate formation, governance, compliance, and real estate transactions.
The firm prefers a candidate with at least 2 years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience including commercial contract disputes, real estate litigation, lender focused financial services litigation construction and leasing matters, breach of fiduciary duty and other general litigation matters.
The right candidate(s) will be self-motivated and thrive in a collegial atmosphere. Qualified candidates must be proficient in legal research, drafting complaints, pleadings, motions, discovery demands, have experience in handling conferences, arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions, have excellent writing, analytical, interpersonal skills, be self-motivating, detail oriented, with a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently and meet deadlines. Admission to the New York Bar is a must. NJ is a plus.
