Description:

The Morristown, NJ office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP seeks a Litigation Associate with at two to four years of complex litigation experience, ideally in product liability and mass torts, with an emphasis on defending pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or consumer health or consumer facing products.

Job Requirements:
  • Two to four (may consider 5) years of complex litigation experience.
  • Experience in product liability and torts, preferably involving pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or consumer health/consumer-facing products.
  • Will consider commercial litigation Associates without product liability or mass tort experience that have the the criteria below.*
  • Strong New Jersey state court experience required*; federal court experience preferred.
  • Experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion drafting, hearings, and trial or trial preparation.*
  • Will also consider federal or appellate court clerks.
  • Interest in product liability and mass tort work which will constitute a large portion of the candidate's practice. Candidate will also assist on commercial litigation matters.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Strong drive and ability to work independently but also work well within a large, collaborative team.
  • Admission to the NJ bar; admission to the NY bar a plus.
