We are looking for an entrepreneurially minded attorney for an Associate level position. The firm presently operates in the Central PA area with a specific focus in Dauphin, Snyder, and Northumberland Counties. We are looking for an attorney that thrives in a fast paced environment. You can expect to be in Court several days per week. The practice areas include Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation, and Real Estate Litigation. We are offering a generous compensation package that includes profit sharing and generation fees. A book of business is not necessary but would be a plus.Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation
- Assist with legal administrative tasks such as document drafting, filing, and organization
- Litigate cases in court, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Write legal opinions and provide advice to clients based on research findings
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area
- Utilize legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the PA bar and in good standing
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Proficiency in using legal research databases such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
