Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Litigation Associate to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a wide array of legal disputes and contribute to impactful cases across diverse practice areas. The Litigation Associate will be responsible for managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and supporting senior attorneys in courtroom proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in litigation procedures, excellent research and writing skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position is paid and designed for candidates eager to develop their litigation expertise within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Must be admitted to practice law in New York, some litigation experience in civil/commericial litigation, familiar with NY CPLR, will sponsor for H-1B working visa if necessary

Duties:
  • Assist in all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial preparation and settlement negotiations
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda with precision and clarity
  • Manage case files, organize evidence, and maintain detailed documentation of case developments
  • Participate in client interviews, depositions, and court proceedings as needed
  • Collaborate with experts across practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and more
  • Support negotiation processes to achieve favorable outcomes for clients while adhering to ethical standards

Requirements:
  • Active bar admission or eligibility for admission in New York
  • Proven experience or strong interest in litigation practice; prior legal research or law office experience preferred
  • Proficiency with LexisNexis and Westlaw for effective legal research
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive legal documents
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in legal drafting
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with legal administrative procedures and case management software is advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $64,989.05 - $85,000.00 per year
