Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled litigation attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a litigation experience and a strong background catastrophic personal injury law. This role requires excellent legal research capabilities, in-depth knowledge of the discovery process, and the ability manage litigation deadlines effectively for the best outcome for the clients. The Litigation Attorney will participate in court proceedings, depositions, and trial.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in litigation matters in catastrophic personal injury cases, daycare abuse, and wrongful death.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity, and timeliness.
- Effectively communicate with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Prepare for trials by organizing evidence and developing case strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of case files and client communications within the law office.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive legal services are provided.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.
- Proven experience in litigation with a focus on catastrophic personal injury cases.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies.
- Strong advocate skills.
