Wheeler, DiUlio & Barnabei, P.C. (WDB Legal) is a first-party insurance, property damage litigation firm. We are currently seeking an associate-level litigation attorney.

We are currently hiring for a junior position (salaried between $70k-$85k) and a senior position (salaried between $90k-$110k), with the difference being level of experience, therefore any level of experience will be considered.

An ideal candidate would have some experience in property/casualty insurance or subrogation matters. Attorney would be working on-site in the firm's Philadelphia Office. Must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey (If licensed in only Pennsylvania or New Jersey, must be willing to apply for admission in the other jurisdiction).

Trial skills, knowledge of litigation procedure, attention to detail, motivation and ablity to assist and support busy litigation team are essential. An ideal candidate would have experience in handling pretrial discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. A strong academic background as well as good written and oral advocacy skills are preferred.

Other Duties:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis using various resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Assist with case management, including organizing and maintaining case files
  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies
  • Review and analyze documents, evidence, and witness statements
  • Negotiate settlements or participate in alternative dispute resolution processes

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bars of Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, such as drafting correspondence and managing calendars
  • Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Prior experience in litigation is preferred but not required
