We are an AV Rated Boutique Litigation Firm with a statewide practice seeking a skilled and ambitious Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for providing defense counsel professional services to our clients in civil lawsuits and providing legal advice on litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, drafting legal documents and litigating cases. We are seeking candidates that want courtroom experience and handling high end litigation.Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Represent clients in mediations, hearings and trials
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
- Stay informed about current laws, regulations, and legal trends related to litigation
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the state of West Virginia
- Some experience as a Litigation Attorney
- Strong knowledge of West Virginia law and procedures
- Proficient in conducting legal research using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions
- Ability and desire to work as a member of a Litigation Team
