Position Overview:
The Litigation Associate Attorney will provide compassionate and competent legal representation, proactively managing cases to maximize client recovery efficiently. This role focuses on cases transitioned from pre-litigation or designated for immediate litigation, honing litigation skills to deliver increasing value to the firm while ensuring client satisfaction and effective case management. You will manage your own docket of 50-80 litigation files.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Engagement: Initiate timely client contact per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), verifying the pre-litigation to litigation checklist, and maintain ongoing communication to build trust and set expectations.
  • Paralegal Supervision: Oversee paralegals to ensure adherence to client contact SOPs.
  • Client Satisfaction: Maintain a client contact dashboard with metrics at 90% or above, minimizing complaints and fostering trust to encourage referrals.
  • Case Management: Meet all deadlines, set trial dates promptly, and ensure efficient case progression to maximize client value.
  • File Reviews: Conduct litigation file reviews with paralegals, driving substantive discussions and short-term strategic planning.
  • Trial Readiness: Prepare each case for trial, taking full responsibility as first chair if needed, and maintain pressure on insurance carriers through documented demands and deadlines.
  • Performance Metrics: Manage personal KPIs, including settlements, financial performance, case activities, file updates, discovery review, and case duration.
  • Client Experience: Deliver exceptional client experiences to drive trust, confidence, and potential referrals.
  • Efficiency: Manage cases effectively through all litigation stages, achieving maximum client value in the shortest time possible.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date case management records, meeting all deadlines and strategic goals.
  • Skill Development: Enhance litigation expertise to provide increasing value to the firm.

Requirements:
  • 3–7 years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience.
  • Licensed attorney in Texas with a passion for client-focused litigation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Collaborative ability to work with paralegals and support staff to advance cases.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on strategic planning and trial preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain client relationships and set clear expectations.
