Salary is DOE. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law, including but not limited to, insurance defense and commercial litigation.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft litigation documents.
- Conduct discovery.
- Conduct jury trials.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Alaska Bar Association is required.
- 3-5 years of litigation experience is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in legal research and writing is essential; familiarity with Lexis is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and statutes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on client interaction.
