Description:
2-5 year experienced Associate Attorney Needed (hybrid home/office)Job Description:
Litigation Associate Attorney who would be assisting two senior attorneys who has two or more years experience working in a law firm. Experience in construction law is a benefit.
Location and description of the firm:
Kelly M. Davis & Associates, LLC, (“KMDA”) 550 S. Edmonds Lane, Ste. 201, Lewisville, Texas
KMDA is a fast paced but down-to-earth, established construction / real estate / business litigation firm. KMDA is a small boutique firm that has 7 employees. Work is a combination of litigation and transactional. We regularly handle a very high volume of clients of which many are long-term with our firm. KMDA was formed in 2002 and is based in Lewisville, TX. Because we are a busy firm, we are selective of incoming clients. With the reputation of being a construction law firm, we never have a lack of people or companies requesting assistance. Ask any one of our employees and they will tell you they have never had a dull day and that the days go by very quickly. Our staff is very cohesive and works together like a family.
If you are looking for a large downtown firm, obviously, this job is not for you. We have a casually dressed atmosphere. No suits and ties here unless we go to court.
Position Requirements:
The Associate would primarily be assisting two senior attorneys. Our clients are mostly construction clients, and the cases range from defect cases to violations of the Texas Trust Fund Act. However, with KMDA, we do not “pigeon-hole” our associates into a particular task. They get to meet with clients and talk to other counsel, first, with supervision and direction, if needed. If you want court, deposition, or mediation experience, this would be a good place to learn or improve those valuable skills from partners who have been practicing for over 25 years.
