The Role We're hiring a litigation associate to handle personal injury matters from suit through resolution. You'll own cases, appear in court, take and defend depositions, and work directly with clients and senior attorneys. This is a hands-on litigation role with real responsibility.Responsibilities:
- Manage a docket of personal injury cases in active litigation
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs
- Take and defend depositions
- Conduct hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Develop case strategy and prepare cases for trial
- Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and the courts
- Arbitrate cases
- Second-chair and, as you develop, first-chair trials
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Washington State Bar license in good standing
- 0-5 years litigation experience
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines
- Client-focused, organized, and collaborative
