WilmerHale's Technology Transactions and Licensing Group is seeking associates with five to seven years of experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating IP licensing, collaboration, distribution, services, development and other complex agreements for life sciences companies. The successful candidate will join our technology transactions and licensing team in Boston and work with other team members across offices. Attorneys in WilmerHale's Technology Transactions and Licensing Group collaborate closely with our corporate, intellectual property, regulatory and tax lawyers to negotiate complex agreements for clients across a broad spectrum of industries. We handle hundreds of complex joint ventures, strategic alliances, outsourcing and licensing transactions each year, some of which span international borders, and our work often receives industry commendation for its significance in shaping the future of science and technology.

Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have experience in the following areas:
  • Analyzing, drafting, and negotiating complex IP and commercial agreements (e.g., licensing, collaboration, distribution, SaaS/Cloud, services, development agreements) in life sciences and/or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience advising on IP rights and related technology transactions matters, including in life sciences mergers and acquisitions.
  • A background including life sciences legal experience, and/or a life sciences or medical degree or training, is preferred.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor
  • Attorney must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in in the state/jurisdiction in which the position is based.
  • Successful candidates will have excellent drafting skills, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to positively contribute to a collaborative work environment.
