The Life Sciences Group at A Boutique Law Firm is currently seeking an ambitious and team-oriented Associate Patent Attorney with a minimum four to five years of experience preparing and prosecuting life science related patent applications, from diagnostics to medical devices, from therapeutics like small molecules, antibodies, stem cells, and vaccines to improved agricultural products and methods.Responsibilities:
- Patent preparation and prosecution.
- Patent portfolio management.
- Strategic analysis.
- Client counseling.
- Opinion work.
- Due diligence for transactions and technology transfer.
Minimum Requirements:
- Outstanding academic credentials and technical expertise in a Life Science.
- JD degree from an ABA accredited law school and licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and a State Bar.
- Minimum of 4 - 5 years of solid Life Science patent preparation and prosecution experience.
- Knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution rules and regulations.
- Positive, professional, courteous, and team oriented.

- Communicate effectively, clearly, and thoroughly (written and verbal).
- Organized self-starter with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines.

Preferred Requirements:
- MS or Ph.D in a life science.
- Experience representing Life Sciences companies in structuring, negotiation and drafting of license, collaboration, co-development, and other similar agreements.
- Legal and/or technical experience in an in-house, research, government, or university setting.
