Description:The Columbia Center on Law and the Economy (CLE), founded by Associate Professors of Law Lina M. Khan and Lev Menand, is seeking a Legal Research Fellow II to support legal and policy research in competition, consumer protection, financial regulation, corporate governance and other economic law and policy domains. This position will support the Center's research agenda on the laws, policies, and practices that shape the economy. This position also supports CLE's advisory work with policymakers and civil society organizations, including through supporting and participating in events and trainings.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal and policy analysis across a variety of economic domains.
- Preparing materials for and providing advisory support to policymakers, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Supporting internal coordination and review processes for select research projects.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- JD required plus 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in litigation, public policy, government, or legal research.
- Willingness to take initiative and learn new areas, and to work in a highly interdisciplinary, flexible, and dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work with diverse constituencies and support an inclusive work environment.
