Job Description:
We Are Looking for An Exceptional and Experienced Commercial Lawyer for A Temporary Role with The Dentsu U.S. Legal and Compliance Team. the Role Will Focus on Dentsu's Creative Practice in The U.S., and Report to Assistant General Counsel, U.S. Creative. the Successful Candidate Will Join a Large and Vibrant International Community of Lawyers Who Provide Practical and Focused Legal Advice Supporting Dentsu as It Drives Sustainable Business Growth for Our Clients. We Are Looking for An Individual Who Is Passionate About Marketing and Will Bring Energy and Enthusiasm to The Role.

The Creative Practice at Dentsu Develops Ideas, Content, and Experiences that Build Brands and Drive Growth Across Channels. Our Creative Capabilities Span Brand Strategy, Design, Content Production (including Digital, Social, Experiential, and Commerce), and Creative Technology, Helping Clients Navigate Evolving Consumer Expectations and Emerging Tools (including Generative Ai) to Deliver Effective, Scalable Creative Work that Creates Competitive Advantage.

While a Background in Creative Is Not Necessary for The Role, a Keen Interest in Learning About All Aspects of Creative Advertising, Design, Content Creation, Production, and Communication Is Critical.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft and Negotiate a Variety of Commercial Agreements, Including Services Agreements (ms as And so Ws), Production and Studio Services Agreements, Talent and Influencer Agreements, and Other Commercial Agreements.
  • Lead Pre-Publication Legal Review for Marketing Content, Including Evaluating Content for Compliance with Applicable Laws, Rules, and Regulations; Identifying and Mitigating Risks Related to Copyright, Trademark, Right of Publicity and Privacy, and Other Content-Related Issues; and Providing Concrete Recommendations and Risk Analyses Within Fast-Paced Creative Workflows.
  • Oversee Contract Administration and Compliance.
  • Review Legal Contracts for Execution by Management.
  • Interpret and Apply Contract Terms.
  • Demonstrate Sound Judgment.
  • Help Implement Best Practices in Compliance, Contract Management, Intellectual Property, Content Clearance and Rights Management, and Data Privacy.

Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 Years of Experience in Commercial Transactions, with Particular Preference for Those with Experience in Marketing, Advertising, Data, Intellectual Property, or Privacy.
  • Licensed to Practice Law and In Good Standing in At Least One U.S. Jurisdiction.
  • Possesses a Law Degree (e.G., Juris Doctor) from An Aba-Approved Law School.
  • Knowledge of Legal Principles in Relation to Contract Law, Marketing/advertising Law, Data, Intellectual Property, or Data Privacy.

The Hourly Pay Range for This Position Is $78.84 - $100.00. the Hourly Pay Rate for The Successful Candidate Is Based on A Variety of Factors, Including Relevant Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Other Factors Permitted by Law. Temporary Employees Are Eligible for Paid Holidays in Accordance with Dentsu Policy, as Well as Safe and Sick Time. This Position Is Not Eligible for Any Other Benefits or Other Compensation.
