Position Summary:
As Legal Counsel, you will provide legal guidance, interpretation, advice and recommendations for action to internal stakeholders and senior/executive management regarding federal/state regulations in the healthcare industry. This role will also allow you to serve as a subject matter expert by providing legal advice and interpretation of new legal requirements.
What you will do:
- Provides legal advice and counsel to promote the company's mandates and protect the overall interests of the company.
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates the company's legal documents including contracts, treaties, agreements, resolutions, and instruments to ensure adherence to the company's goals and verify the company's best interests are prioritized.
- Provides technical legal cooperation services and produces opinions and reports on the ethical, human rights, and legal implications of health-related legal issues and laws.
- Drafts and reviews contracts such as non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), contract amendments, reseller agreements, Order Forms, teaming agreements, and other routine contracts.
- Provides legal advice to inquirers utilizing extensive functional and basic working knowledge of law.
- Acts as a company representative and defends the company before national or international judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative bodies.
- Under close supervision, informs external parties of legal company operations to position the company in a legal environment, promoting the company's interests at constitutional and legal levels and avoiding costly errors.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to address core impact on legal counsel and offers guidance on the company's requirements and best practices.
- Assists with onboarding junior-level staff to promote the development of departmental capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Actively practicing attorney with 5+ years demonstrated experience in a law firm and/or in-house setting; experience handling healthcare regulatory matters, experience interacting with government regulators or agencies and/or third-party auditors or examiners with respect to healthcare matters
- Admitted to practice law in at least one state and in good standing
- Ability to travel up to 10% (including by plane)

Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) required
- In-House Counsel Certification (ICC) Preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
