Legal Counsel

We are currently searching for a Legal Counsel with 5-8 years of relevant law firm or corporate legal department experience to assist with litigation tasks and advice in the Corporate Legal Department, including: monitoring first party property insurance coverage litigatio and other litigation overseeing outside counsel; developing legal strategies to resolve first party property and other insurance coverage litigation; providing assessments of potential liability and potential damages in first party property and other insurance coverage litigation; and providing legal advice for first party property litigation and and third-party liability coverage litigation.

. Experience with first party property insurance coverage litigation is a plus. We offer a collegial and supportive work environment. The position can be located in Wilkes-Barre, PA, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, or Parsippany, NJ.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and determine strategy for insurance coverage litigation and other litigation against the company, and oversee outside counsel.
Analyze regulatory issues and provide legal advice to management.
Review and investigate claims referred to the legal department for coverage determinations.
Monitor coverage litigation and litigation against the company.
Respond to legal questions from other departments in the company regarding laws, regulations, and other legal issues.

Salary Range: $100,000-$170,000 USD

The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3-4 days per week and also be available for travel as required.

The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
