Regent University's School of Law is seeking to fill a full-time, non-tenured Lecturer position in the legal writing program. The Lecturer position carries full faculty voting rights, including participation in faculty meetings. Depending on the candidate's qualifications and interest, there may be opportunities to transition to a tenure-track position in the future. This position will be located at Regent University's Virginia Beach, VA campus.

At Regent Law, the first-year legal writing program is divided into two 3-credit courses and is overseen by a faculty director of legal writing. The first semester focuses on objective analysis, research, and writing, and the second semester focuses on persuasive writing and oral advocacy.

Qualifications:
  • JD required
  • Previous work experience, including appellate writing, strongly preferred
  • Professor will teach first-year legal writing and upper-level advanced writing courses.
