Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and negotiate leases, lease amendments and other related documents (including broker agreements, SNDAs, memorandums of lease, REAs, and access agreements) with national, regional, and local tenants
  • Coordinate on lease transactions with Leasing, Construction, Property Management and Accounting
  • Provide assistance to VP & Associate General Counsel - Leasing on components of anchor and junior anchor lease deals
  • Review and provide comments on other legal documents

Technical skills:
  • J.D. and admitted to practice in NY
  • 5+ years of experience as an attorney in the shopping center and/or retail industry
  • Proficient in negotiating leases with national, regional, and local tenants
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro

The expected salary for this position is between $160,000 and $210,000. The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
