Located in Carrollton, Texas, our firm specializes exclusively in plaintiff personal injury law, with a primary focus on car accidents, and some premises defects, slip and fall, and dog bite cases.

We are seeking an experienced injury attorney to efficiently manage our growing caseload. Our firm emphasizes the importance of bringing a personal touch to Personal Injury Law, ensuring clients receive the individualized attention and care they deserve.

The perfect candidate will be interested in taking charge of a docket of plaintiff injury cases, handling both litigation and pre-litigation, with the support of skilled Paralegals and Legal Assistants. You will have the opportunity to create and execute litigation strategies on behalf of clients and handle all aspects of trial work.

Competitive base salary range from $140,000 to $180,000, depending on experience, plus quarterly performance bonuses, 401K matching, and benefits.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 3 with a caseload of 75 to 100 cases, including mostly pre-litigation and some litigation.
  • Formulate strategies for legal action and negotiations.
  • Review and revise pre-litigation demand letters, along with litigation pleadings, discovery, and responses.
  • Handle depositions, mediations, motions, and trial work.
  • Takes ownership of the files and moves them through the process thoroughly and quickly.
  • Support our clients, letting them know we care about them as people, as well as their case.

Qualifications:
Well qualified candidates are experienced attorneys with deep and broad expertise in all aspects of personal injury law.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of litigation experience in personal injury law as follows: Have taken and defended at least 20 depositions; Have conducted at least 7 mediations, first or second chair; have prior trial experience, first or second chair.
  • Know the procedure, the timing, and deadlines of discovery and litigation.
  • Understand the importance of a great Stowers demand and have drafted at least 10 of them
  • Outstanding communication, research, and writing skills, including experience in drafting various forms of demand brochures, motions, and pleadings.
  • Excellent negotiation and mediation skills
  • Takes ownership of files and moves them forward toward settlement or trial, without cutting corners on the client's case while maintaining meticulous focus on all details.
  • Committed to and exhibiting excellent customer service with clients and the team.
  • Experience with how to use Neos case management software is a plus.
  • JD Degree with license to practice in Texas
