Position Summary:The Lead Attorney (Pennsylvania) at RAS LaVrar is a critical leadership and litigation role within our expanding creditors' rights practice. Reporting to the Managing Attorney, this role is responsible for overseeing Pennsylvania legal operations, managing a localized caseload, and providing guidance to associate attorneys and legal staff. The position requires a seasoned practitioner who can execute complex litigation, manage high-volume legal files, and ensure that all statewide strategies align with strict regulatory standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The following responsibilities are central to the role:
Litigation, Trial Advocacy & Leadership
- Hearing & Trial Advocacy: Represent the firm's interests by handling complex court hearings, arbitrations, contested trials, and depositions throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
- Team Leadership: Provide legal guidance, mentorship, and oversight to Pennsylvania-based associate attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
- Resolution Strategy: Oversee regional file progress and develop effective strategies to bring high-volume cases to resolution efficiently while maintaining a zero-defect work product.
- Pleading Oversight: Draft, review, and approve complex pleadings, motions, and professional correspondence to initiate and advance legal actions.
Compliance, Auditing & Document Review
- Conditions Precedent Review: Perform comprehensive audits of all conditions precedent to filing, including the scrutiny of notices, demand letters, and supporting documentation.
- Regulatory & State Safeguarding: Ensure all operations strictly comply with Pennsylvania state laws, local county rules, and federal requirements regarding collections and creditors' rights.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain and update internal systems with real-time findings, documentation, and strategic recommendations to ensure firm-wide transparency.
Professionalism & Collaboration
- Client & Court Liaison: Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with the judiciary, opposing counsel, and financial institution clients.
- Operational Alignment: Work independently to manage state operations while maintaining strong interpersonal communication across the firm's multi-state footprint.

Educational / Experience Qualifications
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensing: Active Bar membership in Pennsylvania is strictly required.
- Experience: 4+ years of legal experience; prior experience in collections, foreclosure, or creditors' rights is highly preferred. Proven experience in a leadership, senior, or supervisory role is preferred.
- Travel Requirements: Must be willing and able to travel extensively as needed throughout the state of Pennsylvania to attend in-person hearings, trials, and depositions as required by the court or client.
