The perfect candidate must possess a willingness to meet personally with clients, the ability to handle a high caseload, commitment to abiding by the set laws and behaving ethically, excellent personal skills, strong critical thinking skills, adaptability and attention to detail, ability to work on a case independently, ability to work with a team of attorneys, ability to communicate and writing and verbally effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in personal injury cases including motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, and slip and fall incidents.
- Manage all phases of litigation from investigation, pleadings, discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Provide expert legal analysis and advice to clients about their legal rights and obligations, at a human level.
- Negotiate settlements effectively with insurance companies and other attorneys, as well as lien holders.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law.
- Proven track record of negotiating and settling complex cases.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Time management
