Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, and family law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and the ability to conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw. As a Lawyer, you will provide legal advice, represent clients in court, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Duties:
- Provide legal counsel on a variety of issues including estate planning, landlord-tenant disputes, personal injury claims, and workers' compensation cases.
- Represent clients in litigation and negotiate settlements on their behalf.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft legal documents such as contracts, wills, pleadings, and motions with precision.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas including securities law and tribal law.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure effective case management.
- Maintain organized records of all client interactions and case documentation within the law office.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of various areas of law including environmental law, immigration law, family law, patent law, and litigation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Prior experience in a legal administrative role is preferred but not mandatory.
