The Brinton Firm continues to grow and seeks to hire more attorneys.Our firm handles premises liability and personal injury matters, including but not limited to fires, lead poisoning, serious personal injuries, and severely uninhabitable living conditions.
We are adding a remote-only attorney position. The attorney will need to make in-person appearances and can be fully remote, so we will consider candidates from outside of Southern California. The responsibilities of this attorney will be limited to non-trial court appearances, drafting pleadings and motions, taking/defending remote depositions, meeting with clients, etc. If you are interested in a more substantive role (e.g. trying cases) we are also hiring for that position.
For a full-time remote position we are offering a salary of $125,000-$150,000 per year depending on experience, in addition to a generous benefits package.
Your Role:
- Appear remotely for case management conferences, motion hearings, and other routine court appearances.
- Draft pleadings, demands, and motions
- Remotely attend and conduct/defend/observe depositions
- Remotely attend mediations and settlement conferences (as needed)
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Meet with current or potential clients over Zoom
Your qualifications:
- 3-5 or more years of experience in litigation.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Maintain an active California bar membership in good standing.
- Past experience in managing caseloads, resolving cases, and litigation generally.
- Ability to write coherently and concisely
- Ability to strategize and make long-term plans for cases.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Have interests outside the law.
