Job Overview:

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and iManage to support ongoing cases across various practice areas including tribal law, patent law, workers' compensation law, and landlord-tenant law.
  • Assist in drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Review and organize case files, manage document review processes, and ensure proper filing using document management systems.
  • Support attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings by compiling evidence, creating summaries, and managing case timelines.
  • Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized case management records.
  • Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as directed to gather pertinent information for case development.
  • Utilize legal research tools like Westlaw and LexisNexis to gather relevant statutes, regulations, and case law across diverse legal fields such as immigration law and land use regulations.

Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of multiple legal practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and immigration law.
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with document management systems like iManage is highly desirable.
  • Excellent legal drafting skills with attention to detail; ability to proofread and transcribe accurately.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like PCLaw for billing and case tracking purposes.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
  • Effective interviewing techniques combined with professional phone etiquette for client interactions.
  • Experience supporting a busy law office through administrative tasks including data entry, filing, document review, and clerical support.
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting reports and correspondence; ability to proofread meticulously.
