Description:Franklin and Prokopik, P.C. (F&P) is a growing defense firm that employs a workforce of 170+ employees across six office locations in Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware.
We are looking to hire rising 2Ls or 3Ls to join our practice as Law Clerks. This hands-on learning opportunity will allow the Law Clerks to be exposed to one of the primary practice areas of the Firm: general liability. Law Clerks will provide direct litigation support to cases in active litigation. They will be mentored by top lawyers in their prospective practices. Law Clerks will be given a variety of responsibilities, including researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, preparing witnesses for depositions, assisting attorneys with preparing for hearings and trials, and conducting factual investigations. In addition to practicing and acquiring new skills, the Law Clerks will have the opportunity to network inside and outside the office through various social events. This is a part-time position with our firm, and hours are flexible to accommodate a Law Clerk's class schedule and/or other law school obligations.
Requirements:
Strong writing skills
Attention to detail:
- Experience in Microsoft tools
- Ability to learn new software systems easily
- Eagerness to participate in heavy litigation trial-prep
