We are seeking a landlord-side real estate litigator with strong NYC Housing Court experience who is looking to take the next step. This role offers exposure to more sophisticated matters, institutional clients, and strategy-driven work beyond high-volume practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements, including nonpayment and holdover notices
  • Manage a full docket of NYC Housing Court matters from inception through resolution
  • Represent landlords, managing agents, investors, and condominium boards
  • Appear in court (motions, hearings, trials, settlements, stipulations)
  • Support broader litigation matters, including Supreme Court and commercial litigation
  • Participate in business development (articles, alerts, publications)
  • Maintain compliance with firm policies and professional standards
  • Assist with additional litigation team needs as required

Qualifications:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (in good standing)
  • 2+ years of landlord-tenant litigation experience in NYC Housing Court
  • Strong motion practice and legal writing skills
  • Supreme Court and/or appellate experience a plus
  • Excellent analytical, research, and negotiation skills
  • Strong client communication and relationship management ability
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard legal software

Compensation is based on experience, including years of practice, relevant expertise, and any portable business. A competitive benefits package is included.
