Job Description:Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is seeking Labor and Employment Services Attorneys to provide nationwide employment law and litigation services to a top client. This role supports a broad range of employment law matters, litigation, and compliance initiatives. This role has a reduced hours expectation and working hours are flexible.

Job Requirements:
Responsibilities:
- Advise and counsel on employment law topics, including wage and hour, privacy, leaves of absence, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblowing, AI in employment, background checks, I-9/E-Verify, workplace restructuring, policy drafting, employment agreements, labor, DEI, OFCCP, and immigration/work visas for senior leaders.
- Draft and respond to attorney demand letters, administrative agency charges, wage complaints, non-compete/non-solicit letters, and litigation matters (single plaintiff, class/PAGA actions).
- Represent clients in litigation and agency charges, including co-defendant scenarios, ensuring conflict-of-interest protocols are followed.
- Prepare and deliver training materials for staff and contingent workforce.
- Support litigation hold processes, audits, government investigations, subpoenas, garnishments, and employment-related audits.
- Utilize generative and agentic AI tools to improve efficiency and enhance client service, including legal research, drafting, and litigation strategy.
- Maintain knowledge management and process management practices to ensure timely sharing and contextualization of critical legal knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
- Experience in employment law, including litigation, agency charges, and counseling.
- Ability to manage high-volume caseloads and resolve matters efficiently (most cases settle or are dismissed).
- Strong knowledge management and process management skills.
- Commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with EEO laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting large, multi-state contingent workforces.
