Troutman Pepper Locke's Labor + Employment practice group seeks to hire a Senior Associate or Counsel with 6+ years' experience in labor and employment related matters, to be based in our Chicago office. Candidates must have significant traditional labor experience (i.e., experience dealing with unions, collective bargaining, NLRB matters, labor arbitrations, etc.) and be capable of handling a wide range of traditional labor matters from day one in this role. Candidates must also have had meaningful responsibility for employment-related counseling, transactional drafting, and litigation matters (single plaintiff and collective/class actions), including issues involving hiring and separation, wage and hour, EEO, non-compete and trade secrets, employment policies, agreements and handbook reviews, due diligence for corporate transactions, employee accommodations and leave issues, investigations, and other employment law issues.

Successful candidates will have strong academic backgrounds and be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong public speaking skills, meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance in all legal matters.

Candidates must be admitted to the Illinois State bar in good standing.

The salary range for this position is $310,000 - $370,000 dependent on relevant years of experience.
