Junior Legal Counsel, Data Privacy

Location: Boca Raton, FL Department: Legal

Reports to: Associate General Counsel

Position Summary:
The Junior Legal Counsel – Data Privacy will support the Legal Department's global data privacy and information governance program. This role will contribute to the development, implementation, and operationalization of privacy policies, procedures, and workflows within a growing international organization. This role is ideal for an early-career attorney with a strong interest in privacy, technology, and regulatory compliance. This role will work closely with and learn from our Data Privacy Compliance Analyst.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • 2–4 years of legal experience (law firm or in-house)
  • Foundational knowledge of data privacy and cybersecurity laws
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to translate legal requirements into practical business guidance
  • Privacy coursework, certifications, or internships
  • Experience with consumer-facing digital products, marketing data, or e-commerce
  • Familiarity with FTC, state AG enforcement, or international privacy regimes

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with implementation, operationalization and maintenance of data privacy compliance programs (e.g., GDPR, PIPEDA, CCPA/CPRA, and other global privacy laws)
  • Review and assist in drafting privacy policies, notices, and internal procedures to support business expansion (e.g., employee privacy notices, website privacy notices and cookie policies)
  • Support privacy assessments, data mapping, and records of processing activities
  • Review and assist in negotiating vendor agreements, and including data processing addenda (DPAs), CCPA addenda, and related privacy provisions
  • Assist with incident response and data breach investigations under supervision
  • Assist in developing and operationalizing privacy intake forms to support responses to data subject access requests (DSARs)
  • Monitor developments in privacy laws and regulations and summarize impacts for the business
  • Partner with IT, marketing, procurement, and security teams on privacy-related initiatives
