The Maglione Firm is seeking a driven and motivated Junior Associate Trial Attorney to join our Farmingdale office. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney with 5–7 years of experience who is passionate about trial work and looking to further develop their courtroom skills in a supportive but high-performing environment.We are a trial-focused firm that aims to take approximately three cases to trial per year, and we are looking for someone who is eager to be in the courtroom and grow as a trial lawyer.
About the role:
This position will focus primarily on Personal Injury litigation, with exposure to additional civil litigation matters. While the firm also handles civil rights cases, those are primarily managed in another office.
The ideal candidate:
- Has 5–7 years of litigation experience
- Has strong experience in personal injury law
- Is comfortable drafting and arguing motions
- Has substantial experience with legal writing
- Is interested in — or eager to gain — trial experience
- Is confident taking ownership of cases
Trial experience is preferred but not required; what matters most is a genuine interest in becoming a trial lawyer and a willingness to step into the courtroom.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing personal injury matters from inception through trial
- Draft and argue motions
- Conduct depositions
- Handle court appearances and conferences
- Participate in trial preparation and serve as second chair when appropriate
- Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
- Collaborate closely with partners and support staff
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 base
- Bonuses: based on business originated by the attorney
