Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal expertise across a broad spectrum of practice areas, including litigation, highly contested family law, administrative law, general civil litigation, discrimination law, and more. As a Junior Associate Attorney, you will support senior attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting documents, and assisting with client matters. This role is perfect for recent law graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment committed to professional growth and excellence. Three to five years experience preferred.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and legal analysis.
- Draft legal documents including memos, briefs, contracts, and pleadings with precision and clarity.
- Assist in managing client files and maintaining organized case records within the law office's case management system.
- Support attorneys during negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings by preparing necessary documentation and notes.
- Review and analyze legal documents related to estate planning, landlord-tenant disputes, family law cases, securities transactions, and other practice areas.
- Participate in client meetings by taking detailed notes and helping prepare case strategies.
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations across multiple practice areas such as tribal law & regulations, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law, and environmental statutes.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school or equivalent qualification.
- Missouri Bar Membership required.
- Strong research skills with proficiency in LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal documents.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various practice areas including litigation, highly contested family law, administrative law, general civil litigation, discrimination law.
- Prior legal administrative experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
