Honigman's Investigations and White Collar Defense practice group has significant experience in conducting high-stake internal investigations, advising on crisis management and compliance issues, and defending clients in investigations by state and federal regulators, including the U.S. Department of Justice, United States Congress, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Our lawyers provide assistance designed to resolve investigations favorably and to mitigate risk and reputational harm to our clients. Our lawyers have extensive criminal trial experience and handle criminal appeals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with representing clients in complex investigations, including:
- Working cooperatively with local, state, and federal law enforcement;
- Responding to government requests for information and subpoenas;
- Reacting to government investigations;
- Assisting clients who are subjects or targets or law enforcement; and
- Counseling crime victims and witnesses to crimes.
- Deliver high quality work-product and effectively communicate at all levels of Honigman and its clients;
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and high energy and enthusiasm for counseling in the relevant client sector;
- Exhibit highly responsive, creative and efficient work habits;
- Strive to continuously improve knowledge, skills and abilities and seek guidance and feedback to improve performance and productivity;
- Take responsibility for enhancing expertise, in addition to seeking out formal and informal training;
- Integrate into the practice and build strong relationships with clients and within Honigman; and
- Demonstrate a long-term interest in networking with existing clients and developing business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years minimum experience as a state or federal prosecutor;
- Strong relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement;
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under significant time constraints;
- Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills required;
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited institution;
- Licensed Michigan attorney in good standing (or with ability to waive into the jurisdiction); and
- Ability to travel as client needs require.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $215,000-$275,000 annually.
