Description:

At Morgan & Morgan, the work we do matters. For millions of Americans, we're their last line of defense against insurance companies, large corporations or defective goods. From attorneys in all 50 states, to client support staff, creative marketing to operations teams, every member of our firm has a key role to play in the winning fight for consumer rights. Our over 6,000 employees are all united by one mission: For the People.

Behind every landmark case is someone who made sure thousands of clients actually got there.

You know the names: Capital One. Google. 3M. Pfizer. TikTok.

Morgan & Morgan's Complex Litigation practice has taken on some of the most powerful companies in America — and won. We've fought for data privacy rights, stood beside veterans injured by defective earplugs, and secured meaningful recoveries for people harmed by products that never should have been on the market.

We represent tens of thousands of clients a year in these fights. That requires something most law firms don't have: an attorney who owns the operation behind the litigation — not just the legal theory.

What This Role Actually Is
As an Invntory Attorney in our Complex Litigation group, you'll be the operational backbone of an assigned tort, translating the legal team's strategy into the workflows, deadlines, and deliverables that move thousands of cases forward. You'll work directly with the Chief Operations Counsel, mentoring paralegals, and making sure no client falls through the cracks.

You'll be the person who knows the litigation inside out and you'll make sure the machinery around it runs exactly right.

What You'll Own
  • The full deadlin lifecycle — pre-filing through post-filing — across a large case inventory, with escalation protocols that actually work
  • Filing readiness at scale: documentation, pre-filing requirements, and the strategic case selection decisions that flow from them
  • Discovery workflow execution: tracking responses, managing deficiency follow-ups, and maintaining compliance across hundreds or thousands of matters simultaneously
  • Court rules, filing protocols, and jurisdiction-specific requirements — you're the quality control checkpoint
  • Motion practice workflows, pleadings support, and trial preparation support on the operational side
  • A team of paralegals and case managers who will become measurably better at their jobs because of your mentorship
  • The client experience — keeping people informed, managing expectations, and delivering the clarity and empathy they deserve while their case is in process

You have at least 2 years of litigation experience and a J.D. You've worked in complex or high-volume litigation environments and understand federal and state procedures — motion practice, discovery, trial, appellate — not just in theory but in practice.

You're organized in the way that people who've managed real chaos are organized: not because nothing ever goes sideways, but because you've built systems that handle it when it does. You're comfortable with CM/ECF, PACER, Westlaw, and ideally Litify. You can lead a team without losing sight of the details that matter.

Most importantly: you understand that in Mass Tort Litigation, the individual client still matters. Mass tort work is high-volume by nature. Holding onto the individual — the client who trusted this firm with something that upended their life — is a discipline, not a given. We're looking for someone who does it anyway, no matter the caseload.

Bar admission in at least one U.S. state required.
