Job Description:

  • Abramson Labor Group is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our team in Burbank, CA. Newly barred attorneys are encouraged to apply!
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Document Review Attorney to join our Workers' Compensation practice. This attorney will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing case documents to support litigation strategy and trial preparation.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of workers' compensation law and excellent written communication skills, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in the review process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive review and analysis of case files, discovery responses, medical records, QME reports, depositions, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Identify relevant facts, key issues, and case trends to support trial attorneys in hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
  • Draft concise case summaries, document review notes, and recommendations for litigation strategy.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in internal case documentation and legal records.
  • Collaborate with trial representatives, paralegals, and managing attorneys to ensure timely and effective case preparation.
  • Assist in the preparation of exhibits, evidence binders, and supporting documentation for trial.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest ethical standards in handling client information.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the California State Bar (in good standing).
  • 1–3+ years of legal experience; prior exposure to Workers' Compensation law highly preferred.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of documents efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with attorneys and staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
