Honigman LLP is seeking talented, energetic attorneys interested in dynamic legal work with sophisticated clients at a large law firm, but without the ancillary demands that come with pursuing partnership, to join the Interdepartmental Attorney (“IDA”) group. The IDA position is part of Honigman's industry-setting Professional Attorney Track. IDAs routinely work alongside Honigman partnership-track attorneys, just with lower billable-hour requirements and no business development obligations.
Honigman Interdepartmental Attorneys gain broad experience through assignments and training across the Firm's six departments, with significant opportunities pertaining to mergers & acquisitions, private equity, or litigation e-discovery, and real-estate litigation projects.
IDAs can pursue an interdepartmental career path or develop a practice focus through their Honigman work experience and progress into a Professional Attorney Track role in a specific practice group. Beyond traditional legal work, IDAs are also key members of the Firm's efforts to adopt new AI tools and other practice technologies, legal project management functions, product/service development, and other business-of-law issues.
