Overview:The firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Of Counsel to handle IP disputes and provide practical, strategic counsel to clients. The Of Counsel will manage matters from early case assessment through trial, develop litigation strategy, and keep clients informed at each stage. The role calls for sound litigation judgment, clear communication, and effective advocacy.
This is an Of Counsel position. Preference will be given to candidates interested in a potential future transition to a full-time Counsel or Partner role with the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Manage IP disputes, including pre-litigation matters, from case assessment through trial
- Develop and carry out litigation strategy in collaboration with the firm's attorneys
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings
- Conduct legal research and procedural analysis
- Negotiate with opposing counsel and support settlement efforts
- Advise clients on case strategy, risk, and status
Requirements:
- Active membership in the State Bar of California
- At least seven years of IP litigation experience in a law firm setting
- Strong negotiation, research, procedural analysis, and advocacy skills
