Job location: Boston, MA (Position allows for 40% WFH)Salary: $190,000
Duties: Work on complex Intellectual Property Litigation, copyright and patent disputes, and trade secret litigation. Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and other proceedings. Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel. Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients. Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, partners, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently. Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is available and accessible for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff. Position allows for 40% WFH.
Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.), LLM or foreign equivalent in Law + 2 years of experience as a Lawyer or Associate Attorney in Intellectual Property. Must be licensed to practice in the State of New York, New Jersey, or Massachusetts. Experience is required and must include two years of:
- Contributing as part of a team of attorneys counseling clients across all intellectual property areas, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
- Collaborating on litigation teams handling intellectual property matters in federal district court, including disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
- Representing clients in contested trademark proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- Collaborating with lead partner in drafting, reviewing, and analyzing intellectual property agreements, including licenses and settlement agreements.
