Description:
Thompson Coburn is seeking an Intellectual Property litigation attorney to join its Chicago office. Qualified candidates will have 6-12 years of experience handling patent litigation and other intellectual property disputes, including trademark, copyright, trade secret, and related commercial litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have experience managing significant aspects of complex litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, client communications, and trial preparation.Candidates should possess strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills and be capable of assuming substantial responsibility on sophisticated litigation matters. While first-chair trial experience is not required, experience managing cases and serving in a lead supporting role is preferred. Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is also strongly preferred.
A portable practice is not required, though candidates with client relationships or business development opportunities are encouraged to apply. All candidates must currently be licensed to practice law in Illinois. This position is open to recruiters.
The salary range for this position in our Chicago office is $235,000-$375,000. Actual salary will vary and may be above or below the range based on relevant skills, training, and other job-related factors. The range listed is just one part of Thompson Coburn's total compensation and benefits package, which includes productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
