Position Summary:We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and results-driven Personal Injury Plaintiff Intake Attorney to join our growing personal injury firm. The attorney will evaluate prospective personal injury clients, conduct detailed intake consultations, determine case viability, and convert qualified leads into retained clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial consultations with prospective personal injury clients by phone, video, or in person.
- Gather and analyze facts concerning automobile accidents, premises liability, and other personal injury claims.
- Evaluate liability, causation, damages, insurance coverage, statutes of limitations, and overall case viability.
- Identify potentially valuable claims and recognize cases that do not meet the firm's acceptance criteria.
- Explain the legal process, potential claims, and next steps to prospective clients in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Establish rapport and trust with prospective clients while maintaining professionalism and ethical standards.
- Review accident reports, medical information, insurance information, photographs, witness information, police reports, prior attorney files, and other relevant documentation.
- Identify potential conflicts of interest and other legal or factual issues requiring further investigation.
- Work closely with intake specialists, case managers, investigators, and litigation attorneys to ensure a smooth transition of retained cases.
- Follow up with prospective clients as appropriate to obtain missing information or documentation and facilitate retention.
- Maintain accurate and timely intake notes and case information in the firm's case-management/CRM system.
- Meet or exceed firm-established intake, conversion, quality, and client-service expectations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all applicable rules of professional conduct.
- Stay current on developments in personal injury law, insurance practices, and relevant procedural requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and process-improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of CA.
- Experience handling or evaluating plaintiff-side personal injury cases
- Strong understanding of personal injury claims, liability, damages, insurance coverage, and applicable statutes of limitations.
Required Experience:
- 2+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience is required.
- Experience conducting client consultations or legal intake is required.
- Experience with automobile accident, premises liability, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, or other tort claims.
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
