We have an immediate opening in our Milwaukee office for an Insurance Coverage Attorney with a minimum of five years of experience preferred. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit. This position has the possibility of a reduced billable-hour requirement and a flexible schedule.
The candidate should have experience handling insurance coverage disputes in the commercial insurance sector. The ideal candidate will have experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation including, but not limited to, experience conducting factual investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, participating in mediation, and communication with clients. Candidates will also have experience representing clients in insurance coverage matters, including, but not limited to, experience reviewing commercial insurance policies, drafting coverage evaluations and reservation of rights letters, and communication with clients regarding coverage issues and coverage positions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials and writing skills, a commitment to the community, superior interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Candidates should have an active Wisconsin bar license or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.
