A mid-sized law firm, Fields Howell's 40+ attorneys work closely together to handle complex matters received from both domestic and international clients. Due to the nature of the work, Fields Howell's attorneys handle matters across all 50 states and Latin America.
About the Job:
An Insurance Coverage, Defense, and Reinsurance Law Firm serves as coverage and monitoring counsel for insurers and their insureds across the country. Associates are expected to work with Partners, Insurers, Brokers, and Insureds, to gather information on claims and circumstances arising from various professional liability policies, and provide Insurers and Brokers legal analysis on potential liability exposure. This is NOT a litigation role, though candidates with a background in litigation are encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience as an attorney in a private law firm or clerkship
- Insurance coverage experience; preferably in professional liability (lawyers, accountants, architects & engineers, nursing home, etc.)
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Superb interpersonal skills
- Exceptional academics - top 33% of law class preferred

- J.D. is required
- Must be admitted to practice in Georgia
