About This Opportunity:
We are looking to grow our In-House Legal team - specifically, if you have experience with ERISA, healthcare, benefits, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Plans, Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Plans, and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), we want to hear from you! You will provide counsel and guidance on complex legal questions/inquiries to internal and external partners as well as identify solutions, draft/negotiate contracts, and support a fast-growing part of our business. We need someone who loves to collaborate and is willing to provide in-depth expertise to varying partners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general legal support to employer benefits business unit in a fast-paced technology-based business environment;
- Provide guidance to new business unit on legal issues relating to the administration of Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Plans, Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Plans, and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Draft and negotiate contracts relating to same;
- Understand business needs and goals, detect legal issues and obstacles, identify solutions and alternatives, and counsel and communicate with executives and managers regarding legal risks, solutions, and alternatives; and
- Provide other legal support as required.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a corporate law department or law firm.
- Juris doctorate and bar membership required.
- Experience with ERISA, healthcare, benefits, FSAs, HRAs, and HSAs required.
- Demonstrated ability to provide counsel and guidance on complex legal questions or inquiries, and analyze legal issues in area of practice and provide effective advice to clients on routine legal matters.
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail, and willing to assist team members as needed.
- Must be willing to learn new skills, and be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, and be confident and capable of working with both technology and business contacts in a constantly evolving environment.
