Job Description Summary:
A Global Law Firm is seeking an information governance and data strategy mid-level attorney with 4-6 years of relevant experience to join its FDA Regulatory group in our Washington, D.C. or Boston offices. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of relevant experience and possess expertise in serving clients of all sizes across a variety of sectors. Key responsibilities involve:
  • Assisting clients with development of information governance programs, including drafting policies and procedures, preparing, and vetting retention schedules and supporting program implementation.
  • Providing guidance on a variety of domestic and global information governance issues, including litigation preparedness, defensible disposition, and management of electronic communications.
  • Conducting IG maturity assessments, including developing assessment tools and evaluation criteria, interfacing with business leads, analyze results, and formulating risk mitigation strategies.
  • Performing horizon scanning and prepare updates on key legislative, regulatory and enforcement activities affecting clients' data management practices.
  • Coordinating global and domestic regulatory assessments, including overseeing international counsel, summarizing findings, and developing heat maps.
  • Reviewing and revising data flows, sales FAQs and marketing collateral for technology solutions.
  • Customizing and presenting IG training for a variety of business audiences.

Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and possess superior analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.

This is a non-partnership track position.

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Admitted to practice in DC or MA

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
